I was swimming on Tuesday because I wanted to loosen up my muscles in preparation for a run the next day and I ended up with my first injury. It was a cut under my small left toe. It happened when I was trying to kick off the pool wall and instead placed my left foot on an underwater fixture. Ok so it's not as bad as the title makes it out to be but nonetheless it is the first injury that could be a potential problem.
Luckily, it did not bother me after jogging this evening so I am hoping it will go well on the day of the race. Thank goodness I am not running the marathon this weekend otherwise it could have potentially been a non-event.
